Mahatma Letters Wiki

This is a portal , hosted by the Theosophical Society in Amercia, into study of The Mahatma Letters to A. P. Sinnett, first published by A. Trevor Barker in 1923. The book was followed by a second edition in 1926, a third edition by Christmas Humphreys and Elsie Benjamin, and a chronological edition by Vic Hao Chin, Jr. This portal is an opportunity for students to view color images of the original letters in a three-column format with transcriptions and notes. Commentaries, background, publication history, and physical descriptions will be gradually added, derived from the work of many ML scholars, including Gottfried de PuruckerMargaret CongerMary K. NeffGeorge LintonVirginia Hanson, and Joy Mills. Each letter has a name such as "Mahatma Letter No. 1", following the chronological numbering system, but can also be quickly located in Barker numbering, as described in Navigation and shortcuts in the Mahatma Letters Portal.
