This theosophical gem was written by J. Krishnamurti when he was 14 years old under the name Alcyone. This book was first published in 1910 and is still in print, published in many languages. The book includes a preface by Annie Besant and a dedication page "To those who knock"

The body of the work lays out simply, the four requirements for the spiritual path and discipleship -

1. Discrimination

2. Desirelessness

3. Good conduct

4. Love
